What kind of video production do I do? Well, between 1999 and 2009, I worked in broadcast television. I spent much of that time as a post-production editor (meaning I edit video and create motion graphics in software like Final Cut Pro, Avid and After Effects). I’ve worked on everything from broadcast news to produced series television. Have a quick look at my motion graphics reel:
I left the industry in 2009, but have continued to work intermittently on my own projects. In 2010, I received an AMPIA nomination for “the edmontonian presents”, a series that my partner Jeff Samsonow and I produced independently. We were nominated again in 2013 for our short “Startups”, and our work has also screened as part of the Edmonton Short Film Festival. Our most recent project was producing the short film Obstacles, which ran as part of last season’s Metro Shorts Competition. You can see what else we do on our YouTube channel.
I’ve also produced and/or edited a variety of additional content, ranging from promotions for Edmonton Public Libraries, to materials for the Global Visions Documentary Film Festival, to a book trailer for local authour Marty Chan.
